Become a Member

Membership is just £10 a year. As a member you will receive, twice yearly, a copy of What About The Children? NEWS, this includes articles, book reviews and information. You will also have access to our website, summaries of relevant recent research and early notification about our annual conference and other events. If You Are Already a Member, Recruit Another Member

  • When you have read your What About The Children? NEWS, pass it on to a friend, a new mum or dad, your local health professionals, GP, Health Visitor.
  • Write to your local MP and find out if they support our aims.
  • Write an article or book review for What About The Children? NEWS.
  • Send us your children’s line drawings of family life or your electronic digital photos of children under 3 to add visual interest to our publications.
  • Distribute copies of our membership leaflet to other groups you belong to and other events you attend.

Or you may like to volunteer your time towards the work of our organisation – we are always grateful for any support and will help you find a role in our organisation which suits your skills and interests.


Fundraise

  • Instead of sending Christmas cards to colleagues at work explain you are giving the money saved to What About The Children?
  • Participate in a sponsored event on behalf of What About The Children?
  • Hold a coffee morning and ask for donations.

Make a Donation or Become a Sponsor.

All the work of the charity is done by volunteers we are very grateful for any donation.

For example a donation of:
  • £10 will help with our day to day administrative costs.
  • £20 will help with distribution costs of our publicity materials
  • £50 to provide a subsidised place for a low income parent to attend our conference.
  • £100 to support the on going costs to maintain our website
  • £500 to pay for the print run of What About The Children? NEWS
  • £1000 sponsorship of our annual national conference.
